With over 10,000 members in 174 countries, the Species Survival Commission (SSC) of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is the largest of the six expert commissions of the Union and enables IUCN to influence, encourage and assist societies to conserve biodiversity by building knowledge on the status and threats to species, providing advice, developing policies and guidelines, facilitating conservation planning, and catalyzing conservation action.

Key Conservation has partnered with the IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC) to provide a private dedicated space on our global platform where the IUCN Species Survival Commission and Species Specialist Groups can:

  • Create private groups where members can securely upload and share data, create and run events, communicate as a group or privately, collaborate easily with conservation organizations, researchers, and individuals, and provide mentorship directly.

  • Provide tools within the Key Conservation platform that the IUCN SSC and all Species Specialist Groups will be able to use to reach a global audience to raise funding, procure skills from professionals, advertise open positions, and attain in-person volunteer support from a global audience.

More features to come as the Key Conservation platform continues to develop.

Key Conservation is building a global platform built by wildlife biologists to help conservationists all over the world. We aim to fill gaps in funding and support by providing a place where supporters can give their skills, funds, and in-person help, all in real-time.

We look to work closely with members of the IUCN SSC to continuously gather their feedback and insights as we develop these features. If you are interested in learning more or getting involved please get in touch at contact@keyconservation.org
