DESCRIPTION:

Are you a videographer who wants to help capture the stories and people behind conservation organizations? Do you have a passion for bringing conservation tech to the world? Would you like to help spread the word about Key Conservation?

Key Conservation is looking for a videographer volunteer who will work closely with the team to help showcase the ongoing development of the app, the conservation organizations that are Pilot Projects and build momentum as we lead up to the app launch.

 

POTENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the team to find stories to feature on our social media platforms that help to demonstrate how the app works along with our goals and objectives

• Coordinate with partners and team on what is needed for creating the video content

• In charge of transport, set up, and operation of equipment during video shoots

• Explore different ways to expand our social media presence and to reach new audiences through monthly video content

• Work closely with the development team to promote Key Conservation development milestones

• Help document the work being done behind the scenes at Key Conservation HQ and in the field for a potential web series building up to the launch of the app

• Showcase how our Pilot Projects and Beta Testers are testing the app in the field

• Potential to help create a launch promotional video

 

SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school degree required

• Proficient with common social media platforms

• Experience with crafting video content and promotional stories a must

• Able to take initiative and lay out a clear direction for shoots to maximize efficiency

• Passion and optimism for the natural world a must, experience in the conservation field a plus but not required

• Able to work in a fast-paced startup environment and be willing to be flexible

• Must be able to work as part of a team

 

LENGTH AND COMPENSATION:

• Hours and length: 3 months and schedule is flexible to fit the applicant's availability 

• This position is unpaid but we are passionate about helping our volunteers gain valuable skills and connections to advance their career in conservation.

• Willing to provide school credit, if applicable
