CONSERVATION TECH STARTUP VOLUNTEER
Work alongside the director of Key Conservation in preparation for the launch of the app.
LOCATION:
San Diego, California but open to applicants working remotely
DESCRIPTION:
Are you a go-getter who is passionate about conservation technology and would like to work behind the scenes at Key Conservation? Do you thrive in a constantly changing environment where you can learn new skills and give your input? Key Conservation is looking for a rock star volunteer who will work closely with the director to help with a variety of tasks as we prepare for the launch of the Key Conservation app.
POTENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with the director on constantly changing tasks in preparation of app launch

Provide information to our Pilot Projects and Beta Testers

Help identify new potential partnerships and outreach opportunities

Assist the videographer and help coordinate shoots

Potential to help coordinate a fundraising or app launch event

Like any startup, each week will provide a new set of challenges so the ability to be excited to jump in and take on any challenge is a must
SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school degree required

Excellent written and verbal skills

Proficient with common social media platforms

Experience in fundraising and/or event coordinating a plus

Must be a driven self-starter and able to prioritize tasks well

Passion and optimism for the natural world a must, experience in the conservation field a plus but not required

Able to work in a fast-paced startup environment and be willing to be flexible

Must be able to work as part of a team
LENGTH AND COMPENSATION:

Hours and length: 3 months and schedule is flexible to fit the applicant's availability

This position is unpaid but we are passionate about helping our volunteers gain valuable skills and connections to advance their career in conservation.
